On behalf of the governments of France, Germany and Spain, the French General Directorate for Armament (DGA) has awarded to Dassault Aviation, Airbus, Indra, Eumet and their industrial partners the contract for the Demonstrator Phase 1B of the Future Combat Air System (FCAS).
Dassault Aviation CEO Eric Trappier announced that he has reached an industrial agreement with Airbus on the next-generation fighter aircraft (NGF), a key component of the FCAS.
FCAS (Future Combat Air System) is the biggest European defence project. Its estimated cost could be over 100 billion euros.
