KNDS Deutschland will build a Leopard 2A8 main battle tank assembly plant in Kaunas, Lithuania, under a contract with the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence and a memorandum on industrial cooperation signed with national and international partners. The project covers the construction of assembly and maintenance infrastructure in Lithuania and will benefit from major investment project status granted by the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation to accelerate implementation.
