The flight test campaign is being conducted at the Akinci Flight Training and Test Centre in northwestern Turkey. Baykar has reported that the tests are proceeding as planned, demonstrating the aircraft’s capabilities and reliability.
The Bayraktar Kızılelma is designed to operate with high manoeuvrability and autonomous flight capabilities. It features low radar visibility, supersonic potential, and the ability to take off and land on short-runway aircraft carriers.
The latest tests are part of an intensive evaluation process aimed at improving performance before full-scale production. The programme focuses on refining the aircraft’s aerodynamics, avionics, and artificial intelligence systems.
Baykar has positioned the Kızılelma as a next-generation combat drone that enhances Turkey’s defence capabilities. The company has also highlighted its commitment to innovation and domestic aerospace development.
The ongoing test flights mark a significant step towards integrating the aircraft into operational use. Baykar continues to expand its unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) portfolio, reinforcing its role as a key player in the global defence industry.
