U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff emphasizes military rebuilding and deterrence [VIDEO]

Northrop Grumman successfully completed a live, static-fire test of a Sentinel intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) stage-two solid rocket motor at the U.S. Air Force Arnold Engineering Development Complex. The test was conducted in a vacuum chamber simulating real-world environmental conditions the solid-rocket motor would experience during high-altitude and space flight.

On May 8, 2025, General David Allvin, the U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff, reaffirmed the Department of Defense's commitment to strengthening the military and reestablishing deterrence.

 

In a statement shared on his official X account, General Allvin highlighted Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s clear directive: “We will rebuild our military and reestablish deterrence because we don’t want to fight.”

 

 

This declaration underscores the Pentagon’s strategic focus on enhancing military readiness and deterrence capabilities amidst evolving global security challenges. General Allvin’s message reflects the administration’s proactive stance in addressing potential threats and ensuring national defense.
