Two Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-2 fighter aircraft and two Republic of Korea Air Force KF-16 Fighting Falcons escorted two U.S. Air Force B-52H Stratofortress bombers in a joint trilateral flight. The mission demonstrated the nations’ shared ability to rapidly respond to regional security challenges in the Indo-Pacific.

This marks the third trilateral flight conducted in 2025, following a bomber escort exercise in January and a defensive counter-air training mission in June. The continued coordination among the three countries highlights the importance of joint readiness and operational integration.

“Our steadfast commitment fosters trust, strengthens cooperation, and reinforces the collective will and ability to maintain security and stability in the Indo-Pacific,” said the U.S. Air Force. The flight served as both a training opportunity and a strategic message of unity amid evolving regional threats.
