During the exercise, three target engagements were carried out at distances of 1000, 1500, and 2000 metres between the C100 and the designated targets. The C100 maintained loitering flight for approximately 35 minutes at a standoff range of 3 kilometres from the operator, while delivering clear visual imagery for rapid target identification.
The C100 is engineered as an organic fires platform, designed to enhance soldier effectiveness with integrated support for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), target marking, and kinetic operations. “This is the second in a series of demonstrations aimed to prove the C100 as the ultimate organic fires platform,” said PDW CEO and co-founder Ryan Gury.
Gury added, “The C100 offers a huge leap in tactical flexibility for the warfighter and PDW is ready to equip our forces with a system that can provide that support across various domains.” The demonstration underlined the C100’s modular role in enabling laser-guided targeting for indirect fire, close air support, and maritime missions.
By delivering precision lasing from extended ranges, the C100 enhances operational reach while keeping personnel and manned systems at reduced risk. The successful trial confirms the system’s potential as a reliable and scalable solution for future joint fires operations.
