Circus SE, a German developer of AI software and robotics for the food service industry, has been officially certified by NATO’s Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA). The listing qualifies the company to participate in NATO defence procurement and direct contract awards across all member states.

The certification makes Circus SE the only NATO-approved provider of fully automated AI-robotics solutions for tactical troop nutrition, designed for continuous autonomous 24/7 service. The company is already in talks with several NATO forces and expects to secure its first defence clients this year.

Inclusion in the regulated NSPA supplier registers enables Circus to join major NATO defence, logistics and crisis response programmes. It also places the firm alongside established global suppliers such as Lockheed Martin, Renk and Rheinmetall in procurement systems used by NATO officials.

The approval confirms that Circus meets NATO’s security, quality and financial requirements, including AQAP and relevant ISO standards. It will also simplify contract processes through the alliance’s digital procurement platforms.

“NATO certification confirms our compliance with the alliance’s strict standards and unlocks the next phase of our global expansion,” said Nikolas Bullwinkel, CEO and Founder of Circus SE. “It strengthens our leading position in defence sector applications, and allows us to actively contribute to mission-critical operations across all NATO member states.”

The listing builds on the company’s recent approval as a U.S. government and Department of Defense supplier. This positions Circus as a rapidly deployable partner for AI-powered nutrition systems in field operations, military exercises and emergency missions.
