The agreement supports Lockheed Martin’s offset obligations under the Swiss government’s F-35A procurement programme. It reflects a shared commitment to strengthening Switzerland’s industrial base and its role in the international defence and aerospace supply chain.
“We are honored to collaborate with Lockheed Martin on this important initiative,” said Vincent Gillet, CEO at Kugler Bimetal SA. “This project will contribute to long-term economic development through advanced manufacturing, job creation and international market access.”
Under the arrangement, Kugler Bimetal will produce mission-critical parts including hydraulic pump components, actuation mechanisms, landing gear systems and specialised subsystems used in civil and military aircraft and land equipment. The company will apply its expertise in bimetallic casting, precision machining and complex component finishing to meet the highest aerospace and defence standards for performance, durability and safety.
The collaboration highlights the importance of linking advanced manufacturing with global aerospace and defence requirements. It also strengthens Switzerland’s contribution to next-generation airborne platforms while supporting allied nations with precision-engineered components essential to modern mission-critical systems.
