The opening was marked on 12 September with a reception in Kyiv attended by Terma CEO Henriette Thygesen, Denmark’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen, and Ukrainian partners. The event was held alongside official meetings highlighting Denmark’s political, civil and military support for Ukraine.
“This is more than delivering advanced systems – it’s about standing shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine at a defining moment in history,” said Henriette Thygesen, CEO of Terma. “By establishing a permanent presence in Kyiv, we are sending a clear message: Terma is here for the long term.”
Terma stated that its systems are operational and deployed across critical areas, delivering results on the battlefield. “Terma is bringing real combat power to the frontline. This is the difference between words of support and action that saves lives,” Henriette Thygesen added.
The Kyiv-based subsidiary will allow closer collaboration with Ukrainian authorities, defence forces, local industry and international partners. Terma described this as a long-term partnership based on trust, shared responsibility and collective security.
“We are committed to Ukraine – today, in defense, and tomorrow, in rebuilding,” said Henriette Thygesen. The company said that establishing a local entity reflects its values and belief that technology must serve people by providing protection, time, space and confidence to act.
