Boeing-built PAC-3 seekers provide the critical guidance technology that enables Patriot interceptors to track and defeat advanced threats, including hypersonic weapons, hostile aircraft, and ballistic and cruise missiles. Growing demand for these systems has been driven by recent conflicts and shifting threat environments in regions such as Ukraine, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific.
“Our team has never been better positioned to answer the nation’s call for greater air and missile defense,” said Jim Bryan, executive director of Boeing Integrated Air & Missile Defense. “These multiyear awards recognize the progress we’ve made and will allow us to meet growing global demand for the PAC‑3 seeker.”
Boeing set new production records in 2025 for both monthly output and 12-month rolling averages, targeting delivery of 650 to 700 seekers by year-end. These achievements follow years of internal investment, production line upgrades, closer supplier integration, and the addition of a 35,000-square-foot factory expansion in Huntsville, Alabama.
Since 2000, Boeing has delivered more than 6,000 increasingly advanced PAC-3 seekers to the U.S. Army as a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin. Seventeen nations, including the United States, currently use the PAC-3 interceptor to safeguard civilians, military personnel, and strategic infrastructure worldwide.
