The total gross value of the procurement is €119.5 million, with €118.5 million allocated to Rheinmetall, while Rheinmetall Electronics GmbH plays a key role as subcontractor. Delivery of the first systems is scheduled for mid-2027, and the existing AGSP development model will be upgraded to the new series standard, with transport containers supplied for all systems.
Rheinmetall developed the AGSP as a completely new training system for mechanised infantry forces, and in September 2025 the Office for Army Development declared the system ready for take-over. The simulator recreates battlefield conditions with high realism by accurately modelling vehicle logic, ballistics, haptics and aiming behaviour in line with the ‘train as you fight’ concept.
Each AGSP comprises a control, evaluation and monitoring station and four replicated vehicle cabins housed in twelve 20-foot containers, forming a fully relocatable and modular facility. The system enables comprehensive tactical training without deploying an IFV and allows networking with another AGSP or compatible tank simulators, supporting joint training up to company level.
