Hensoldt and TYTAN Technologies signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 26 January to cooperate on Counter-UAS systems and the protection of critical infrastructure. The agreement was signed during the opening ceremony of TYTAN Technologies’ new headquarters in Munich by Balázs Nagy, CEO and Co-Founder of TYTAN Technologies, and Oliver Dörre, CEO of Hensoldt, in the presence of Markus Söder, Minister President of Bavaria.

The partnership brings together TYTAN Technologies’ cost-effective interceptor drones with Hensoldt’s sensor portfolio, systems expertise and its command-and-control software Elysion Mission Core. According to the companies, this combination will create an immediately deployable Counter-UAS capability developed in Bavaria and aimed at safeguarding European airspace.

The cooperation includes the integration of TYTAN platforms into Hensoldt’s Elysion Mission Core solution and joint initiatives to protect critical infrastructure, particularly through existing programmes with federal or state authorities. It also foresees international joint projects, especially those related to supporting Ukrainian or NATO air defence efforts.

The companies stated that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to delivering rapidly deployable, battlefield-proven and technologically advanced solutions in response to the rapid development of mass drone warfare. The cooperation is also intended to strengthen European technological sovereignty and underline Bavaria’s role as a centre for defence innovation and industrial excellence.

Hensoldt CEO Oliver Dörre said: “The cooperation of Hensoldt and TYTAN allows us to combine agility, innovative strength, system integration expertise and domain knowledge at the highest level. In this way, we are contributing to significantly and rapidly enhancing protection against the increasing threats posed by drones.”

Balázs Nagy, CEO and Co-Founder of TYTAN Technologies, added: “TYTAN and Hensoldt demonstrate unwavering commitment to protect people and critical infrastructure in Europe from unmanned threats – Not in 5 years but today. With technology that is battlefield-tested and based on the two companies´ proven excellence in their respective fields.”
