Saab and Ukrainian Defense Industry (UDI) sign memorandum of understanding on aviation and airborne surveillance cooperation

Saab and Joint Stock Company “Ukrainian Defense Industry” (JSC UDI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding outlining their intention to collaborate in aviation and airborne surveillance, aiming to strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities.

Saab and Joint Stock Company “Ukrainian Defense Industry” (JSC UDI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding outlining their intention to collaborate in aviation and airborne surveillance, aiming to strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities.

 

The agreement was signed at the Munich Security Conference 2026 in Germany and reflects complementary expertise between the two parties in areas related to aviation and surveillance technologies.

JSC UDI, which has consolidated state enterprises and companies, is described as a strategic manufacturer of weapons and military hardware and an integral part of Ukraine’s security and defence sector.

 

 

Saab said it will contribute its defence industry experience and expertise in aviation and airborne surveillance technology as part of the planned cooperation.

“We look forward to collaborating with JSC UDI, exploring cooperation opportunities relating to Ukraine. Saab is strongly committed to supporting Ukraine’s defence capability and its defence sector,” said Anders Carp, Deputy CEO of Saab.
