The company said the new offering builds on more than three decades of conformal antenna design and production experience. It is intended to address the needs of next-generation air dominance defense programs.
“With Silver Link, we are leveraging our rich legacy of delivering results for our customers with speed and scale, and we’re backing it with significant internal investment to move faster, reduce cost, and eliminate integration risk,” said Lindsay McEwen, vice president and general manager of Tactical Solutions for BAE Systems Space & Mission Systems. “Silver Link antennas are designed to be adaptable to meet evolving requirements, provide assured communications, and be ready for rate manufacturing faster than ever before.”
The antennas are designed to integrate with any host platform while conforming to platform curvatures to maintain aerodynamic and structural integrity. BAE Systems said this approach preserves performance while reducing integration challenges.
According to the company, the Silver Link line is structured to meet accelerated customer schedules and cost parameters. It is intended to eliminate lengthy and expensive custom design and prototyping processes while delivering high performance and low maintenance requirements.
BAE Systems stated that recent facility expansions support in-house rapid prototyping, manufacturing and mass production capabilities. These capabilities are intended to enable delivery of Silver Link solutions at scale across global theaters.
