AM General is showcasing a modernised portfolio of agile and lethal vehicles at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) 2025 event in Washington, D.C. From 13 to 15 October, visitors at Booth #6941 will see newly enhanced platforms designed to support evolving battlefield requirements.

The company will debut its next-generation Hawkeye 105mm Mobile Howitzer System (MHS), a restyled artillery truck combining a lightweight design with rugged mobility and high lethality. The platform features a new powertrain and integrates patented soft recoil technology, which reduces recoil forces by up to 60%, allowing for rapid deployment and displacement in under 90 seconds.

“Hawkeye can be emplaced, fired, and displaced in under 90 seconds, delivering unmatched survivability and responsiveness for modern combat operations,” the company stated. The system has been developed and refined through extensive firing and combat testing in real-world conditions.

AM General is also presenting the JLTV A2, a significantly improved version of the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle featuring a fuel-efficient powertrain, corrosion-resistant components, and redesigned systems for easier maintenance. Displayed with a Kongsberg M156 CROWS remote weapon station, the vehicle enables target engagement from within the cabin and is paired with a JLTV-Trailer equipped with AV Switchblade 600 loitering munitions for increased firepower.

“First units of the truck and trailer have been delivered to the Army for testing,” the company confirmed. These enhancements aim to give warfighters more versatility across mission profiles.

Also on display is the MIMIC-V (Mission Integrated Maneuverable Interoperable Conformable Vehicle), a specialised platform designed for special operations forces and integrated with unmanned aerial systems. It supports rapid deployment, launch, and recovery of XTEND Defense’s autonomous drones and is also equipped with SPEAR UAV’s Viper 300 UAS system for precision strikes.

To enhance situational awareness, the MIMIC-V includes TriEye’s CMOS-based SWIR technology, offering high-resolution imaging and 3D depth perception in challenging conditions. These upgrades position the vehicle as a mobile command hub with tactical advantages in complex operating environments.

“It’s an exciting time at AM General as we maneuver to best support the US Army’s needs on the evolving battlefield,” said Jim Cannon, AM General President and CEO. “AUSA provides the best venue for us to demonstrate to customers our transformation through innovative, lethal, and combat-proven systems that enhance the Warfighters’ readiness.”
