The HTCDF framework, valued up to $1.25 Billion (£1 billion) over the next seven years, has been established to accelerate development of a sovereign UK Hypersonic Strike Capability, whilst bolstering AUKUS collaboration with Australia and the United States.
“Our company’s extensive experience and deep understanding of hypersonic technologies enabled us to qualify across all lots of the HTCDF. Amentum’s proven track record of research and development, systems engineering and test support for numerous US Defense agencies including the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Air Force, Navy, and Army positions us well to bid for contracts that would accelerate and deliver these services to UK Ministry of Defence,” said Mark Whitney, President of Amentum’s National Security Group.
“Our expertise expands across the entire project lifecycle, including systems engineering, mission planning, propulsion, materials technology, sensor integration, platform integration, test design, planning and execution, safety systems, and cost analysis.”
“Leveraging our extensive experience in partnership with prime equipment manufacturers, specialist technology providers and academic institutes, we will deliver state-of-the-art technologies and engineering solutions. Our efforts will expedite the MOD’s mission to establish a sovereign UK hypersonic strike capability, significantly enhancing national security.” Whitney added.
