The Board of Directors of Indra Group has approved the appointment of Ángel Escribano Ruiz as the new Executive Chairman following an extraordinary meeting. This decision comes after Marc Murtra tendered his resignation as Director and Executive Chairman to take up the role of Director and Executive Chairman of Telefónica, S.A., Indra said in a press release.

The Board expressed its gratitude to Marc Murtra for his contributions during his tenure, highlighting his leadership in driving a significant transformation within the company. His efforts were instrumental in developing a robust strategic vision for the future of Indra Group.

Ángel Escribano’s appointment was made through a co-optation process, as recommended by the Appointment and Corporate Governance Committee. He will assume the same executive functions previously held by his predecessor, with responsibilities spanning corporate, institutional, and operational domains, in coordination with the company’s CEO, José Vicente de los Mozos.

The Board also approved Ángel Escribano’s executive services contract, which includes the same remuneration package as Marc Murtra, as per the Spanish Companies Act. These steps are aimed at ensuring a seamless transition in leadership and maintaining the momentum of the Strategic Plan 2024-2026.
