Aselsan is continuing serial production of its TOLUN smart munition family, expanding scalable precision-strike capacity for future air operations. The company said the family includes multiple variants optimised for different mission profiles.

TOLUN is designed as a next-generation 250 lb-class guided munition family. Aselsan said the systems combine long-range precision engagement with modular mission flexibility and low collateral damage capability.

The family is integrated with multiple guidance technologies and can be deployed from various aerial platforms. According to the company, it is intended to address a wide range of operational requirements in sophisticated battlefield environments.

The TOLUN family provides cost-effective, long-range and high-volume engagement capability. Aselsan said it is designed for use against heavily protected and time-sensitive targets.

Among the variants, TOLUN-L includes integrated INS/GNSS guidance and laser seeker capability. It is designed for precision engagement of moving or stationary targets at ranges exceeding 50 kilometres.

TOLUN-F adds programmable airburst functionality and proximity sensing. These features are intended to maximise fragmentation effects against different target types.

TOLUN P is optimised for hardened targets. The variant uses a penetrating warhead capable of penetrating reinforced concrete structures.

Aselsan has also introduced TOLUN EW, an electronic warfare munition. The company said it is designed to create effects across the electromagnetic spectrum through jamming, deception and suppression capabilities against air defence systems.

Another variant, TOLUN IIR, provides terminal-stage target update and lock-on capability. It uses an imaging infrared seeker and two-way data link architecture.
