Penoptix is designed to address limitations of legacy radar systems through a distributed architecture. Assured Space said the system can be rapidly deployed, relocated and scaled as mission needs evolve.
Instead of relying on a single fixed radar, Penoptix is designed to operate as part of a network. The company said this approach provides greater flexibility, built-in redundancy and more resilient performance in the field.

The system is built on Assured Space’s proprietary CapLink Array technology. Penoptix features a compact 3-square-metre active aperture that can be coherently combined with additional units to form a scalable sensor network.
Assured Space said this architecture is intended to provide flexible “all-seeing” capability for asymmetric threat environments. The company said it allows operators to expand coverage, introduce redundancy and maintain operational continuity in degraded or disrupted environments.
Penoptix supports a “fight-as-you-come” operational model. This enables rapid deployment, frequent relocation and sustained mission effectiveness even when individual units are lost or replaced.
The radar is designed to integrate with existing radar and command-and-control architectures. It can operate across multiple communication transport options, including terrestrial, satellite and wireless networks.
Assured Space said Penoptix reflects its approach to next-generation radar architectures focused on mobility, modularity and operational resilience. The company said these characteristics are intended to support missile defence in contested environments.
