U.S. Air Force B-2 Spirit bombers, assigned to the 509th Bomb Wing at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, were featured in a flyover above the White House on 4 July 2025. One B-2 was accompanied by two F-22 Raptors from the 1st Fighter Wing, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, as part of the Independence Day celebrations in Washington, D.C.

The B-2 Spirit is a long-range, low-observable strategic bomber capable of penetrating sophisticated enemy air defences. It provides “penetrating flexibility and effectiveness inherent in manned bombers,” according to the U.S. Air Force.
