The new arrangement builds on a partnership established in 2015 between SURVICE Engineering and Malloy Aeronautics, which was acquired by BAE Systems in 2024. Malloy supplies its uncrewed all-electric logistics platform, the T-150, to SURVICE Engineering, which supports the U.S. Armed Forces, including the U.S. Marine Corps, with specialist combat equipment such as uncrewed logistics platforms.
The agreement comes at a time when uncrewed air systems are taking on an increasing range of roles, from low-cost logistics to more advanced systems capable of operating alongside crewed combat aircraft. It will see the companies explore opportunities across a broader portfolio of small and tactical uncrewed air systems.
Anthony Gregory, Business Development Director at BAE Systems FalconWorks, said, “We look forward to working together with SURVICE Engineering to develop this capability for today’s rapidly evolving battlespace.” He added that partnering with Malloy had already led to successes including fielding the TRV-150 to the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army, as well as demonstrating use cases beyond logistics such as mine clearing, obscurant deployment and weaponisation.
Greg Thompson, President of SURVICE Engineering, said, “The agreement with FalconWorks is a logical next step to continue advancing UAS technologies and use cases and we are excited to expand our relationship across the BAE FalconWorks portfolio and look forward to many more successes.” He noted that previous cooperation had included delivering the TRV-150 capability to US forces and demonstrating additional operational applications.
The new Framework Agreement forms part of a broader BAE Systems strategy to accelerate innovation in uncrewed air systems. The company stated that this approach is intended to meet national and international defence and security requirements as operational demands continue to evolve.
