Commenting on the deal, Olivier Michalon, EVP for Global Business at Airbus Helicopters, said, “We are very proud that the Ministry of Interior of Bahrain has chosen to become a new member of the H145 worldwide community. We are sure that the H145 will quickly become a valuable new asset for the Bahraini police.” He emphasised the helicopter’s versatility, noting that over 60 H145s are already operational in the Middle East for a variety of missions, including law enforcement, emergency medical services, and utility work.
The latest version of the H145 introduces a five-bladed rotor, increasing the helicopter’s useful load capacity by 150kg. This innovative design not only enhances serviceability and reliability but also improves ride comfort for passengers and crew while simplifying maintenance operations.
The H145, part of Airbus’ best-selling light twin-engine helicopter family, has proven its capabilities globally with over 1,700 units in service and eight million flight hours recorded. Equipped with two Safran Arriel 2E engines, full authority digital engine control (FADEC), and the advanced Helionix avionics suite, the helicopter includes a 4-axis autopilot to enhance safety and reduce pilot workload. Additionally, it boasts the quietest operation and lowest CO2 emissions in its class.
