Under the agreement, BIRD Aerosystems will develop, integrate, deliver and test its AMPS solution, incorporating what it describes as the world’s most compact and advanced Directed Infrared Countermeasure system. The patented µDIRCM combines missile detection, confirmation, tracking and laser jamming within a single unit, with near-zero false alarms and advanced threat engagement capability.
