The Apache, known for its sophisticated avionics and weapon systems, relies on continuous upkeep to maintain its battlefield effectiveness. The contract is expected to reduce long-term costs for customers by preserving vital systems and preventing major failures.
Work under the contract will cover key components such as fuselages, rotor systems, landing gear, control surfaces, engine mounts, electrical and avionics systems, and structural parts. Manufacturing and logistics operations will be conducted at Boeing’s facility in Mesa, Arizona, with completion anticipated by 2026.
“This service contract prioritizes safety and quality for the U.S. Army’s Apache fleet and its operators and focuses on preparing these advanced helicopters for critical missions in challenging environments,” said Eric Bergantz, senior manager for U.S. Army Apache product support at Boeing Global Services.
