Brave1 completes final tests of loitering munitions with range exceeding 40 kilometres

By Defence Industry Europe

Loitering munitions with a range of more than 40 kilometres, capable of overcoming electronic warfare defences, mark a new stage in striking enemy positions far beyond the front line. Brave1 has confirmed the completion of final tests of these systems.

With Brave1’s support and feedback from service members, manufacturers have created advanced technologies that will soon be used on the battlefield. Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, stated, “manufacturers have developed highly effective technologies that will be deployed on the front line very soon.”

Strike drones are emerging as a practical and affordable battlefield tool, designed for simple production and easy scaling. Fedorov said, “they enable precise strikes at ranges of 40, 50 and even more kilometers, leaving the enemy with little chance to respond.”

The next step will be combat trials before large-scale deployment. As Fedorov explained, “combat trials lie ahead, and we are accelerating the mass deployment of loitering munitions on the battlefield.”
