Bundeswehr to test GaardTech’s training Robotic Enemy Vehicle

By Defence Industry Europe staff

Australian company GaardTech has provided Germany with several remote-controlled mobile 3D Robotic Enemy Vehicles which can simulate Russian military vehicles. The delivery was made under a pilot contract signed in January 2022 worth AUD 385,000.

The mobile robotic mock-ups will be used by the Germany army for testing and, if successful, further orders will follow.

GaardTech offers a number of two-dimensional and three-dimensional steel models of Soviet and Russian combat vehicles, such as tanks, IFCs, transporters, anti-aircraft systems and others. These can be used as training ground targets.

The mock-ups make it possible to use sensors and turret systems of the vehicles. It is also possible to retrofit mock-ups with appropriate systems to replicate the thermal, electronic and radar characteristics of a specific combat vehicles.
