BWX Technologies secures $2.6 billion in U.S. Navy nuclear reactor contracts

The contracted products will be manufactured and delivered over the next six to eight years, with production taking place at BWXT facilities in Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, and Virginia. These components are part of highly complex naval nuclear reactors, which include large and heavy assemblies, precisely machined parts, and highly enriched uranium fuel.

“The BWXT team is proud to produce this essential hardware that allows the U.S. Navy to carry out its critical national security mission,” said Gary Camper, President of BWXT’s Nuclear Operations Group. “That commitment to quality is the legacy that comes from our more than 70 years of service to the Navy.”

This latest award builds upon the $2.1 billion in contracts announced by BWXT in February.
