On 1 February 2025, Christina Canitz took over as Head of HENSOLDT’s Optronics division, succeeding Tanya Altmann. Canitz, previously Chief Procurement Officer, steps into the role following a smooth transition agreed upon by both parties.

Tanya Altmann had led the division since February 2023, driving substantial growth and advancing digital transformation. HENSOLDT’s CEO, Oliver Dörre, acknowledged her achievements, thanking her for her leadership and commitment during a challenging period.

Dörre expressed confidence in Canitz, citing her extensive experience in supply chain management, procurement, and production. He stated that her expertise would ensure continued success and innovation within the Optronics division.

Based in Oberkochen with around 1,000 employees, HENSOLDT’s Optronics division develops high-precision electro-optical systems. Its products include thermal imaging cameras, periscopes for armoured vehicles and submarines, and precision optics for semiconductor manufacturing.
