Germany’s Circus SE has signed a strategic agreement with Ukraine’s government-led defence technology platform BRAVE1 to deliver AI-powered autonomous robotics systems. The collaboration, also involving Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Digital Transformation, Armed Forces and MITS, will begin with immediate deployment of Circus AI nutrition supply systems.

The deal marks the first deployment by the newly established Circus Defence division and the first-ever global use of such systems in active defence operations. Ukrainian defence partners will receive autonomous ground infrastructure that enhances operational efficiency through fully automated logistics and meal supply.

“Circus Defence has signed a framework agreement with BRAVE1, the Ukrainian government’s defence technology platform,” the company announced in a statement. The agreement also allows Circus Defence to use the programme’s expertise to expand its AI robotics portfolio beyond nutrition systems.

The company plans to leverage its large-scale global production capacity as it prepares to launch European high-volume production to support the agreement. The partnership positions Ukraine among the first forces in the world to roll out operational AI robotics systems from Circus in a military context.
