“Cubic’s P5 IS provides secure, high-fidelity instrumented live training for the F-35 program,” said Russ Marsh, President, Cubic Defense. “The capability allows 4th and 5th generation aircraft to train together seamlessly in live flight events while safeguarding critical tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP).”
The P5 Internal Subsystem is a key component of the P5 Combat Training System (P5CTS), which delivers real-time and post-mission insights for tactical development. Used across over 30 training and test ranges in 17 countries, the P5CTS supports improved combat effectiveness through integrated and reliable mission data.
Cubic, in partnership with its main subcontractor Leonardo DRS, will carry out all contractor activities as outlined in the agreement. The system is used by the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and allied forces, enabling secure and interoperable joint training through precise time, space, and position information data sharing.
