D-Fend Solutions unveils EnforceAir2 Maritime for advanced counter-drone defence at sea

By Defence Industry Europe

D-Fend Solutions, a leading developer of counter-drone technology, has announced the launch of EnforceAir2 Maritime, a specialised system designed to combat unauthorised drone activity in maritime environments. The system builds upon the company’s existing EnforceAir2 technology, adapting it to meet the specific challenges faced by naval and maritime operations.

Developed with the complexities of open-sea and near-shore operations in mind, EnforceAir2 Maritime aims to detect and neutralise rogue drones without interfering with essential communications or navigation systems. The solution utilises advanced radio frequency (RF) cyber-based technology to safely take control of unauthorised drones, enhancing security across ports, harbours, and critical maritime infrastructure.

The system includes a range of maritime-grade components to ensure durability and reliability in harsh sea conditions. These features include a revised Software Defined Radio (SDR) unit with enhanced environmental resistance, an ultra-wide-band radome antenna for 360-degree coverage, ruggedised cradles built to military standards, and halogen-free RF cables that comply with stringent maritime regulations.

According to Yaniv Benbenisti, President and Chief Product Officer at D-Fend Solutions, the maritime sector presents unique challenges that require tailored security measures. “EnforceAir2 Maritime, developed with insight gained through our deep experience in this sector, ensures operational continuity and protection for critical naval and maritime assets,” he stated.

Designed for seamless integration with existing naval defence systems, EnforceAir2 Maritime offers flexible installation and scalable deployment options. The system enhances operational safety by mitigating drone threats while avoiding disruption to essential maritime activities, ensuring security for vessels and infrastructure.
