Draganfly highlights readiness to support Canada’s $2 billion Ukraine aid with advanced drone systems

Draganfly Inc. has outlined its position to contribute to Canada’s newly announced $2 billion military aid package to Ukraine, which includes over $220 million for drone, counter-drone and electronic warfare technologies. The company, recognised as the world’s oldest dual-use drone manufacturer, stressed its 27 years of design and engineering experience and its status as one of few Canadian firms with proven solutions.

 

The package was announced during Prime Minister Mark Carney’s visit to Kyiv on the 34th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, signalling what the government described as a firm commitment to democracy and resistance to authoritarian aggression. A significant part of the funding is directed towards joint ventures between Canadian and Ukrainian defence companies in advanced UAV systems and electronic warfare.

 

 

Draganfly, active in Ukraine since 2022, stated it is positioned to support through expertise in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, demining support, logistics and tactical delivery systems. The firm highlighted its experience in humanitarian and defence response, including medical and supply delivery drones, counter-drone projects for U.S. military contractors and landmine detection systems developed with SafeLane Global.
