Elbit Systems to equip German Airbus A350 with DIRCM self-protection technology

Elbit Systems’ DIRCM technology is specifically designed to counter threats from advanced surface-to-air missiles, utilising laser technology and sophisticated imaging systems to provide unparalleled aircraft protection. The J-MUSIC system is already deployed on a variety of military and commercial platforms globally, underscoring its reliability and effectiveness in safeguarding airborne operations.

The A350 aircraft, operated by Germany’s Special Mission Air Wing for political-parliamentary flight operations, faces growing security risks, including the use of man-portable air defence systems (MANPADS) by non-state actors.
