EOS will deliver an upgraded version of its R400 RWS, specifically developed to meet the operational requirements of the Australian Army and fully integrated with the AS21 Redback IFV. The multi-year contract includes the provision of spare parts, training, and technical documentation.
Production of the RWS will take place at EOS’ manufacturing facility in Canberra, supported by a national supply chain involving more than 100 Australian companies. EOS’ RWS have been deployed operationally by armed forces in Australia, North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
“This contract is a win for Australian industry, and we are delighted to be working with Hanwha Defence Australia on this critical project for Army,” said Dr Andreas Schwer, CEO of EOS. “The work will be carried out here in Australia, supporting skilled jobs, strengthening our sovereign defence manufacturing base, and showcasing the capabilities of local suppliers on a national program of strategic importance.”
The LAND 400 Phase 3 project will deliver 129 IFVs to the Australian Army. EOS’ role in the program reinforces its position as a key provider of advanced weapon systems while contributing to local defence capability and industrial growth.
