Speaking to reporters on his return flight from Azerbaijan, Erdogan responded to recent remarks made by U.S. Ambassador to Ankara, Tom Barrack, on F-35 deliveries, and addressed subsequent objections raised by Greek officials. “The F-35 issue is not just a military technology matter for us but also a matter of strong partnership in international platforms, especially NATO,” he added.
Erdogan voiced confidence that the United States, under the leadership of former President Donald Trump, would stand by earlier agreements made on the fighter jet deal. “I believe that Trump will remain loyal to the agreement we made on this issue. I think the gradual delivery of these F-35s to Türkiye will take place during his term,” the Turkish leader stated.
