Estonian Minister of Defence Hanno Pevkur attended a defence industry seminar and networking event in Berlin aimed at supporting Estonian defence companies in building partnerships in Germany. The event was organised to help firms establish contacts and strengthen cooperation with German defence industry players.

“We have set a goal for Estonia’s defence industry to reach an annual export volume of 1.4 billion euros by 2030,” Pevkur said. “Looking back at the past two days, it is clear that Germany has significant interest in what Estonia’s defence industry can offer, as our solutions meet even the most demanding international standards.”

Estonia’s Ambassador to Germany, Marika Linntam, said interest in bilateral cooperation has been increasing. “The defence industry seminar held at the embassy this week — which gathered representatives from more than 60 Estonian and German companies — demonstrates that the embassy’s business support centre is a valuable platform for advancing bilateral cooperation,” she said.

According to the ministry, such seminars give Estonian defence companies opportunities to build international business ties, enter new markets and improve competitiveness. In total, 32 Estonian and 31 German companies took part in the Berlin seminar.
