Designed to meet the growing need for Size, Weight, Power, and Cost-efficiency (SWaP-C), the Dione XP is a VGA (640 × 480) LWIR camera core. It offers an ideal balance of high resolution and affordability for safety, security, industrial, and embedded applications.
As part of Exosens’ portfolio of uncooled LWIR products, the Dione XP sets a new benchmark in image quality and integration flexibility. The series integrates advanced features, including XLIE (Xenics Local Image Enhancement), edge detection, column noise filtering, and extended temperature calibration.
The Dione XP utilises a 640 × 480 microbolometer sensor with a 12 µm pixel pitch and achieves NETD values of 35 mK or 40 mK, depending on the model. It is available with or without a shutter, allowing for broad adaptability to diverse system requirements.
The product line includes the Dione XP OEM for system integrators and the housed Dione XP CAM / Dione XP S CAM, which support M24 or M34 optical interfaces. This variety provides flexibility to suit a wide range of design specifications.
“Xenics has long been a trusted technology brand within Exosens, delivering advanced infrared solutions to a broad range of markets,” said Paul Ryckaert, Executive General Manager, Advanced Imaging Business at Exosens. “The Dione XP series exemplifies this legacy of innovation, offering a compact yet powerful LWIR solution that meets the stringent needs of security, drone-based systems, and DRI applications.”
