Fuzes are technologically advanced devices that determine when and how an artillery shell will detonate. Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, such components have become increasingly scarce worldwide.
“Through our framework agreement with Junghans, we are securing increased deliveries of fuzes both now and for several years to come,” said Mattias Lindén, Project Manager at FMV. “With the agreement, FMV strengthens the security of supply for ammunition.”
The agreement was the result of close cooperation between FMV and Germany’s procurement agency, the Bundesamt für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr (BAAINBw).
