The Mission Partner Environments (MPEs) programme facilitates secure communication, collaboration, and information sharing for the military and its trusted partners. These capabilities, spanning multiple levels of classification, enable decision-makers to respond swiftly to evolving mission requirements.
Under the new agreement, GDIT will modernise, integrate, operate, and sustain the Department of Defense’s MPE infrastructure. Services provided will include mission support, cybersecurity, enterprise IT operations, and advancing system interoperability with U.S. and international coalition partners.
“The complexity of global threats necessitates the urgency to create agile, secure and seamless information-sharing environments with our trusted partners,” said Amy Gilliland, GDIT’s president. She further emphasised GDIT’s commitment to delivering an integrated MPE that will serve as a model for future Department of Defense initiatives.
GDIT brings over three decades of experience managing large-scale MPE programmes. Notably, the company operates the largest coalition intelligence-sharing programme globally and supports U.S. Army Europe and Africa with a dedicated MPE network.
The company also showcased cutting-edge advancements during Talisman Sabre 2023, demonstrating the first Zero Trust exercises. This technology enabled rapid, secure data sharing between global mission partners in battlefield environments with limited or no internet access.
As a business unit of General Dynamics, GDIT benefits from the expertise of a global leader in aerospace and defence. General Dynamics employs over 100,000 people worldwide, generating USD 42.3 billion in revenue in 2023, and provides a wide range of services in aviation, shipbuilding, land combat systems, and technology.
