Germany and France coordinate support for Ukraine

The French General Directorate of Armaments (DGA) has announced the delivery of six CAESAR Mk1 (6x6) artillery systems to the French Army, fulfilling its equipment plans for 2023. This replenishment comes in the wake of France's substantial military support to Ukraine, where 18 CAESAR artillery systems were sent from French military stock.

German Foreign Minister Baerbock meets her French counterpart Séjourné in Paris. One of the issues they discussed was improving the supply of ammunition to Ukraine.

 

Germany and France aim to work together to improve the supply of ammunition to Ukraine. At a meeting between Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and her French colleague Stéphane Séjourné in Paris, the two exchanged views on the possible global procurement of ammunition for Ukraine in its defence against Russia.

Baerbock wrote of the meeting on X: “United and determined: together we are strong.” Séjourné wrote: “Our two countries are fully committed to Ukraine and we are working together to do more and better.”
