Autek, a Spanish company with 25 years of experience, specialises in cross-domain technology that facilitates secure information exchange between different domains, based on stringent security protocols. This technology is vital for complex military and security systems, including critical infrastructure protection and satellite navigation systems like Galileo. Autek’s solutions also have applications in public administration and corporate environments. As the first Spanish company to develop proprietary cross-domain products, Autek is certified by the Spanish National Cryptologic Centre (CCN) and NATO, ensuring compliance with the highest international security standards.
Under the terms of the acquisition, Autek’s management team will lead GMV’s global cross-domain division. Autek’s director, Manuel Sanz, stated, “Joining GMV enables us to expand our R&D capabilities, access new markets, and apply our innovative technology globally, thereby enhancing our contribution to both national and international security.”
For GMV, this acquisition marks a key strategic development in strengthening its role as a leading integrator in the defence sector. Cross-domain technology, which plays a crucial role in command and control networks and Joint Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (JISR) systems, offers GMV a competitive edge in these areas.
GMV CEO Jesús Serrano highlighted the significance of the acquisition, saying, “This operation underscores our commitment to the defence sector, which is a core pillar of GMV’s growth strategy. It expands our technological capabilities and allows us to generate synergies in space, cybersecurity, and intelligent transportation systems, ultimately enhancing our global competitiveness and market reach.”
