Griffon Aerospace unveils MQM-172 Arrowhead unmanned aircraft system with multi-mission role

By Defence Industry Europe

Griffon Aerospace has officially announced the release of the MQM-172 Arrowhead, its newest unmanned aircraft system. The platform has been developed to offer customers flexibility across multiple mission sets, including its role as a high-performance target drone.

“Arrowhead was purpose-built to give our customers unmatched flexibility across multiple mission sets. In addition to its role as a high-performance target drone, Arrowhead can also be configured as a one-way attack platform—bringing decisive effects when it matters most,” said Daniel Beck, Airworthiness Manager and Program Manager at Griffon Aerospace.

The aircraft features a configurable payload bay supporting up to 100 pounds, a manoeuvrable airframe, and rugged reliability. It has been designed, tested and manufactured by Griffon Aerospace, building on the company’s record of delivering more than 12,000 unmanned systems.

“This release represents the culmination of extensive development and testing, and we’re excited to see Arrowhead take its place in the field alongside our other proven platforms,” Beck added. He noted the company’s commitment to giving partners “The unfair advantage.”
