According to Guariadis, the Modular JLTV Crew Trainer is a customizable, high-fidelity simulator tailored for four crew members: the driver, gunner, commander, and a fourth operator. Built as a mechanical, functional, and procedural digital replica of the actual JLTV 4×4 vehicle interior, this innovative solution is mounted on a 6 Degrees of Freedom (DoF) motion platform, ensuring a lifelike training experience. The modularity of design allows for seamless integration with any RWS simulator with ballistics.
“The innovation provides training of key crew mission critical skills, including operating procedures, driving and tactical manoeuvring, weapon handling, terrain observation, voice over intercom and radio inter-crew communication, and BMS operation in a variety of combat scenarios,” Guardiaris said in a statement.
The tactical interconnection of multiple JLTV simulators unlocks new possibilities of platoon-to-squad level realistic vehicle training and significantly enhances troop readiness. Furthermore, the simultaneous training of multiple combat units, including allied and enemy forces, offers unparalleled flexibility and scalability to meet the unique needs of diverse, complex tactical combat training environments.
Equipped with physiological sensors, each crew member’s biometric signals, such as heart rate, eye tracking, and pupil dilation, are monitored. This system tracks trainees’ attention to controls, battlefield developments, and the environment, offering significant training performance evaluation. Combined with fast data collection, classification, and aggregation on the crew member, or vehicle, up to squad of vehicles level, the signature Action Review (AAR) delivers comprehensive post-training analytics and meets evolving needs for scientific approach to learning.
