HawkEye 360, a US-based leader in signals intelligence and analytics, has announced the integration of its radio frequency (RF) data into military platforms during Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025 (TS25). The multinational exercise, held in Australia, is designed to enhance interoperability among the United States, Australia, and partner nations.

For the first time, HawkEye 360’s RF data is being used in real-time within operational defence systems, supporting decision-making across various military domains. The technology is being integrated with Lockheed Martin’s advanced systems to provide machine-to-machine capabilities that turn RF signals into actionable surveillance information.

“This partnership represents a major milestone in expanding our tactical relevance within the Department of Defense,” said Todd Probert, President of US Government at HawkEye 360. “By integrating HawkEye 360’s RF data into tactical defense systems, we’re accelerating decision advantage across the battlespace.”

The Talisman Sabre exercise is the largest of its kind in Australia and is conducted biennially to build joint force readiness. The 2025 edition is the 11th and largest to date, featuring live-fire drills, amphibious operations, air combat, maritime manoeuvres, and activities in space and cyberspace.

The integration allows operators to seamlessly correlate RF data with other tactical inputs, supporting threat detection and enabling more accurate geolocation. This improves the quality of tracking and enhances situational awareness across complex operational environments.

“This is a clear example of how we’re providing our data to DoD, by delivering timely, trusted insights that enhance threat tracking and operational awareness across domains and command echelons,” Probert added. “Easy integration was the key to integrating commercial radio frequency into a combat system and enhancing situational awareness for our customers.”

Nineteen nations have been invited to take part in TS25, which offers a highly realistic setting for testing combined and joint force operations. HawkEye 360’s involvement highlights the increasing importance of commercial data solutions in supporting national security and coalition missions.

By contributing RF intelligence to such a dynamic environment, HawkEye 360 enables defence forces to monitor activity over broad areas with greater precision. The collaboration with Lockheed Martin showcases how combined commercial expertise can deliver innovative capabilities to global defence operations.
