The partnership will leverage Safran.AI’s globally recognized capabilities in vision AI with ICEYE’s operation of the world’s largest commercial Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) constellation. This collaboration is expected to enable faster and more accurate decision-making for government agencies involved in defence and intelligence.
SAR satellite imagery is particularly valuable as it can detect and classify objects of interest at any time of day and in all weather conditions. ICEYE’s SAR constellation, equipped with advanced sensors delivering 25 cm resolution, high image quality, and rapid image delivery within a few hours, makes it a key resource for military monitoring and strategic analysis.
Rafal Modrzewski, CEO and Co-Founder of ICEYE, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. The integration of multi-modal AI will enhance persistent monitoring capabilities, enabling governments to make more informed decisions based on a blend of SAR and electro-optical imagery. The announcement also builds on the existing partnership, with Safran already providing ICEYE with space-to-ground link solutions for rapid image transmission.
