The vehicles are set to be delivered between 2027 and 2029, marking a substantial upgrade in the logistics fleet. IDV will provide 8×8 and 4×4 military trucks in three configurations: Semitrailer Tractor, Recovery, and Hook-lift, with options for both protected and unprotected cabs.
These trucks are designed to offer exceptional mobility, manoeuvrability, and reliability. The standardisation across various platforms ensures logistical commonality not only within the Dutch forces but also with other European Union member states.
The contract also includes an optional tranche for an additional 785 vehicles. Furthermore, IDV will provide integrated logistic support for a minimum period of 15 years, reinforcing long-term service and maintenance capabilities.
This new award represents another key milestone in the collaboration between IDV and the Dutch Ministry of Defence. It follows the successful 12kN Manticore Project, which led to the acquisition of 1,283 MTV (Multirole Tactical Vehicle) units, underscoring IDV’s status as a reliable partner and leading manufacturer of military land platforms in Europe.
Claudio Catalano, CEO of IDV, expressed his enthusiasm for the contract, stating: “This significant award further solidifies IDV’s positioning as a key player in the design, manufacture, and delivery of high mobility protected vehicles for defence applications. With over 90 years of experience, we are committed to continue our effort in guaranteeing the highest standards of survivability, performance, reliability and safety to fulfil the diverse needs of the Dutch Armed Forces.”
IDV’s track record and continued commitment to excellence in military vehicle production have proven pivotal in securing this contract. The delivery of these advanced logistics trucks is expected to significantly boost the operational efficiency of the Dutch Armed Forces.
