IDV to deliver 658 more tactical logistic trucks as Italy expands modernisation programme fleet

IDV will supply a further 658 tactical logistic trucks to the Italian Army, extending the 2024 contract for 1,453 vehicles. The company said the enlarged programme will raise the total fleet to 2,111 trucks, with deliveries planned through 2039.

IDV will supply a further 658 tactical logistic trucks to the Italian Army, extending the 2024 contract for 1,453 vehicles. The company said the enlarged programme will raise the total fleet to 2,111 trucks, with deliveries planned through 2039.

 

According to IDV, the additional vehicles will use its new range of standard military trucks across several logistic variants including material transport, water and fuel tankers, container carriers, recovery vehicles and towing systems. The company will also provide maintenance and assistance for the entire fleet.

IDV stated that the expanded agreement marks another milestone in its support to Italy’s land operational capabilities. It noted that the original contract with the Direzione Armamenti Terrestri of the Italian Ministry of Defence covers deliveries from 2025 to 2038 and supports the renewal and modernisation of the Army’s tactical logistic vehicle fleet.
