The Insta ANR system is designed to significantly improve hearing protection and reduce cockpit noise, enhancing pilot performance and reducing fatigue. By using digital signal processing (DSP) technology, the system can attenuate low-frequency noise down to 30 Hz, allowing for clearer communication and greater pilot focus.
Following successful integration into the Gripen aircraft and thorough testing in both laboratory and flight environments, the two companies have agreed to broaden their collaboration. The next step will see the Insta ANR system tailored to future fighter helmets, aiming to ensure optimal performance in a variety of demanding operational conditions.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Saab and to further develop the Insta ANR solution,” said Ville Kettula, Vice President of Aviation at Insta. “This collaboration underscores our commitment to providing cutting-edge technology that enhances the safety and performance of aircrew in challenging environments,” Kettula added.
