Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has launched LAHAT ALPHA, the newest member of its LAHAT laser-homing anti-tank missile family, designed to meet rising demand for precise and cost-effective long-range strike capability. The system enables stand-off attacks from over 20 kilometres away, targeting high-value threats with improved accuracy.

LAHAT ALPHA can be launched from vehicles or helicopters and follows a laser spot designated by ground or airborne sources, making it highly flexible in complex environments. It is operational beyond the line of sight and can be mastered with less than a week of training, offering rapid deployment potential.

The missile measures two metres in length, weighs 25 kilograms and carries a large warhead available in anti-tank or fragmentation variants. It is capable of destroying armoured vehicles, penetrating structures, engaging coastal defences and hitting fast-moving targets.

Drawing on the operational legacy of the LAHAT missile used by the Israel Defense Forces and other global customers, LAHAT ALPHA integrates three decades of field-proven technology. IAI highlights its laser-homing guidance as a dependable solution in scenarios where GPS is denied or restricted.
