The Protector RS4 is a modernised version of the army’s current Protector Nordic configuration. It introduces integrated sensors and supports several weapon systems at longer ranges while allowing operators to remain protected inside the vehicle.

Sweden’s procurement meets the armed forces’ requirement for remote-controlled weapon stations for three CV90 variants and other army vehicles. Kongsberg weapon stations have already been selected for the Common Armoured Vehicle System 300 and the Archer 8×8.
